Following that incident, Trump was suspended from Twitter over his posts. This was later lifted but subsequent messages saw him permanently banned from the platform. Twitter suggested his messaging could encourage further acts of violence....

In a statement released by Save America PAC Thursday, Trump encouraged Johnson to “Run, Ron, Run!” The former president’s endorsement comes with more than a year to go until Johnson could be re-elected and even acknowledged that Johnson himself has not announced whether he is running for a third term. “Even though he has not yet announced that he is running, and I certainly hope he does, I am giving my Complete and Total Endorsement to Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin,” Trump said....
